REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATION

  Republic Day  is a  national holiday  in  India  commemorating the adoption of the  Constitution of India , and the country's transition to a  republic  which came into effect on 26 January 1950. In our college we celebrated the day by hoisting flag. Our principal Dr. Vandhana Devi hoisted the flag.

PONGAL CELEBRATION

Pongal was celebrated at our school. All teachers, trainees and students actively participated in the celebration. All came in ethnic wear of Tamil Nadu. Rangoli was drawn, Pongal was made. Events were conducted for students based on the Tamil Culture. Thai Pongal and Uzhavar Thirunal was celebrated and speeches on the importance of farmers were done by the students.

ANTI TOBACCO AWARENESS

 Anti Tobacco Awareness Event was conducted by Lions Club Association in school to create awareness among students about the cause and effect of the use of Tobacco. The adverse effect of tobacco on physical and mental health issues were explained to the students. Questions were raised and answered by the students. The legal act on the use of tobacco and its punishments by law were explained by the volunteers. Certain activities were conducted and the vent was made interesting.

IMPORTANCE OF READING

 In order to encourage the reading habit in students, an event was created by providing library books to students and the importance of reading was explained. The habit of going to library for reading was encouraged among the students.

CLEAN SCHOOL CAMPAIGN

Clean school campaign was conducted by the teacher trainees in order to create awareness about the cleanliness of the environment. Students actively participated in the event and contributed to the cleanliness of the school campus.

LEARNING OUTCOME TEST

  The student's learning outcome was tested for the all the subjects. Question paper consisting of questions from science, maths, tamil, english and social science. The test was conducted for all the standards and evaluated. This was mainly conducted to study the performance and learning of students in classroom.

CHILDREN’S DAY

The Children’s Day was celebrated in the school enthusiastically by the students and teachers.  The children were happily welcomed by band to school and was given great encouragement. The children participated in the events like singing, dancing, fancy dress, speech etc.   All children were given biscuits as return gift.
